Muslim inside the pants is no different than Jewish ones.

Unless they would target children.

How do you know?

You know, I am kind of disappointed, disgusted maybe, by this thread right now.
For months we've had all sorts of people posting how it's fine to go to Jordan and even mocking those who even ASK if it's safe.

Now we find out the truth, that if you go you have to hide your yarmulka on under a baseball cap.

Nobody thought to MENTION that?

And then it struck me... perhaps that's normal attire for most of the forum members here? Is it just a dovor haposhut that you look like stam some American tourist?

You're going off topic, we started discussing something else.

Ok it totally is off topic, but I'm honestly shocked that you wouldn't have understood this implicitly.  I'm sitting in sunny, super safe Orlando right now and even here most of the frum men and boys I saw around at attractions had baseball caps on and had their "tourist" outfits on, Ca'Muvon in most Arab countries, people do that!

+1   If I understand correctly the reason behind the policy not to let tfillin in is not because they have anything against it but to protect you. That's not to say it's dangerous per say but you definitely can't walk around like your in the Armenian Shuk

Well I'm shocked right back at you, the other way around. Tourist outfits?

If you guys were a bunch of Reform Jews from Masapequa, I wouldn't bat an eye. But I'm kind of shocked and saddened that people who are "frum" just take it as a dovor haposhut that you dress like a goy on "vacation."

In fact, its so opgeleigt by you all that even in a discussion dealing with safety, nobody feels the need to bavorn each and every time, "oh yeah, BTW, we are saying it's safe if you are in your 'assimilation costume.' Don't dare have so much as a kipa sruga poking out of your cap, let alone wear your borsalino."

Can someone with experience advise on the
1) easiest
2) safest
3) quickest
way to travel from Jerusalem to Amman overland?
Please provide approximate costs as well.  Thanks.

Obviously.  But I'm asking about overland.

BTW, how much longer is traveling overland from Jerusalem versus getting from Jerusalem to TLV, checking in and waiting for flight and flying?  Door-to-door how long should Jerusalem-Amman take overland?
