And yet it's so safe? I don't get the mixed messages.

Having Israeli products in Jordan, and waking around in Jordan casually, are not comparable.

You consider a Jew walking around Amman safe?

From someone who visited Iran
1. Strolling the streets of Tehran is safer than strolling the streets of Amman.

The danger of going to Iran is not the people of Iran, its the  government, VS Jordan, where the government has diplomatic relations with Israel vs the people.

70% + of Jordanians are Palestinian, many of them still considered refugees living in refugee camps.

I wouldn't recommend anyone travel to Israel Via Amman, unless you're travel savvy and adventurous.

If it ain't safe to walk around , then why does everybody make it sound like its no big deal to take a taxi to Israel ?
What's stopping the driver  from going all Allah Akbar on you ?!?!
Life is as good as you make it...

Thank you Hershel for the clarification as well as the fascinating insight.

Chevra, this thread isn't a joke. You can be all coy on other threads, but please, on a thread that is nogeia to people's safety, don't make a statement that is not clear and readily understood.

Put it this way, if you're afraid to go don't go, you will pee in your pants. Swear.

+1 - In Dubai you feel safer. When I was in Jordan I was on edge the whole time. Even Qatar felt safer then Jordan. As Hershel pointed out in Jordan it's the average guy on the street that can be an issue. Just look back at the massacre in Jordan of the Jewish girls (granted that it was in 1997 and it was a soldier ym"sh).
