is it worth filing an insurance claim for a $750 fender bender?

Should I just pay up or file a claim? will my rates go up big time?

my insurance told me that if a claim is under $1000 it doesnt get reported - doesnt effect the rates
but thats when i was the one that had to pay the other driver.

heard that from geico. They also told me that collision claims won't have an impact on the rates at all

i can confirm that i had a liability claim of $1500 and a collision of $4078 including car rental and deductible  (same incident) and my rates haven't changed i just got my new rate now and the incident was in the beg. of nov. (geico)

And with progressive you get small accident forgiveness if you are with them for a while

Don't believe anything they tell you! Someone was driving my car, parked and opened the door then someone hit the door, and filed a claim that was under $1k. I got quotes from Geico 4 years after the incident and they "reminded" me of that accident.
