I have a feeling that if the 43 won't fit me, I might be able to get Amazon to let me exchange it for a different size because now the 43 is the same price as the 44.

I bought it last week and I'm returning it. It’s a pretty shoe, but beware, it's a VERY NARROW shoe. If your foot isn't narrow, it ain't going to be comfortable.

Unfortunately i find that the helsinki shoe is pretty narrow too, although i still squeeze my foot into it
