This is a great deal. I bought one on a similar deal last year and it's running out now.

Note: There are two separate rebates. One is a $40 regular rebate, and the other is a $30 competitive upgrade rebate, which means that you have to send proof that you had a different anti-virus program, for example, a photocopy of the disc or the first page of a user manual. Also, my rebates came as two debit cards ($50, $20).

Thanks for posting,

I'd only use the utilities, and ghost, not the anti virus.
Since 2008 they became too heavy and slow, use AVG which is free instead.

Norton 2009 was the first Norton product I've used and it doesn't really hog to much.....
From what I've read, they were very heavy until 2009, but since then, they're much better....
Still, I'm probably going back to AVG Free when my subscription expires in 27 days....

I only use avast on my personal machines. Its great & its free. Avast.com

Check out MalwareBytes.
It's rated higher than Avast on cnet.com

AFAIK avast can run together with MalwareBytes.

how does avast compare to all the paid anti virus programs? are ANY better?
i wish i knew what i was doing...
