Topic Wiki

To find items (like this one) that are eligible for Easy Rebates that may end up being worth buying just for the points use this link.

If the status for the Easy Rebate says "Your reward has been sent" but you've never received the card or lost it before ever using it, then call 1-877-266-6483 to have Staples send out a replacement.

There are often coupons that lower the up front cost of paper that's on sale with a rebate. And other coupons, too.
Staples.com > on top menu bar - shop deals > coupons
BUT:

The coupon is now only able to work once per order! The $5 off is now being pro-rated between all the cases in the order, rather than the 4x it's put in!
To use the coupon 4x, you need to have each case checked out separately.  Which means that besides the bother at the register, you submit 4 different rebates - and you get 4 different rebate cards of $41 - instead of 1 rebate card worth $164.

Todays real important news : office supply chain Staples is seeing its shares get three-hole punched to the tune of more than 10% after announcing earnings that fell a penny year over year to 13-cents. Sales fell more than 6% in the U.S. and declined 4% when adjusted for store closures. To that end Staples also said it was closing 225 of its roughly 1,800 North American stores. How will we manage going forward...

OT, but what's with everyone linking to VIN and YWN as sources? That's like linking to Drudge. They're mostly aggregators...

Please explain.  Two coupons per customer.  Each coupon good for only one 5reamer, so 2 5reamers per person.  Are you saying this can be done on two different occasions to equal a total of 4 rebates max?

Okay, so they let me take two. The rebate form says 4 rebates per name/address/household. I think it would need to be done on two occasions or two people.

I should also point out the five pack lists for $25.99 and you get an immediate in store rebate of $9.99 which means you are only laying out $16 for a pack which you get back in the form of a rebate. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

One more thing, the receipt also printed out a coupon of %10 off any one item in my next in store purchase which is the second one I got this week and if you sign up for emails you get $10 off $50.

The 5 ream paper: you can buy 4 and get the rebate for all 4.  The coupon to reduce to price down to 0 is limited to 2 of those 4 packs.  OTOH, since they have to scan the coupon for each pack of paper bought, they can keep scanning and  IME, if they scan it 4X, and the cashiers will, the coupon will work 4X.

My happy experience yesterday, that I came back to this thread to share.

I bought 4 5-ream cases and 4 reams of Hamermill paper.
'free' coupon for both, from the website.
scanned each coupon 4X.
charges left: the amount that will be rebated via gift cards
5-ream case $16 x 4 = $64
hamermill $3.80 x 4 = $15.20
$79.20 (no tax - I've got a non-profit card (I buy for a school))
I had $73 of 'staples rewards' - their 5% back for purchases.  So I swiped for only $6.20. And I'm getting $79.20 back on cards (in a few weeks)!!!!!

can you still use staples giftcards to buy visa giftcards online? is there a limit to how many staples giftcards can be used at once?
