more then 2 per order will start costing out of pocket

Got it to work a 5th time. Here's my sequence.

Close all IE browsers. Open IE InPrivate without opening IE first. Then click through. After you finish, close IE, open IE InPrivate (without opening IE first), then click through.

Yes. You have to click through the UR mall and add the coupon to cart.

I am still not finding it. I only have personal online set up, but you said that should be ok. Under Staples on the UR shopping page I see one offer for 3x points. No coupons nor anything for $15 off.

When you are in the ur shopping page. On the top right search for staples. Then you should see staples . under the staples logo you should see

Click on all 3 offers link and you should see this

I just signed into UR using my husband's login. He only has a SP that earns UR. His UR page was different than mine and I could not get to the offer.
Using my login ( I have a freedom and a sp):When I chose to go to UR using my SP, I got the same screen as on my husband's account. When I chose to go to my freedom's UR:

sign into chase> Ultimate rewards (not Sapphire Preferred) > shop and earn extra points back> all on line offers> 37th offer in the list> click on the offer itself.

Still no dice for me. Weird.

I've cleared all cookies, etc. Closed all instances of IE. Opened in private, clicked to staples through UR, tried to apply coupon to cart and still get error.

Anyone else able to replicate?

Yes, this was my hunch. Getting to UR shopping through SAPPHIRE is the problem.
When I go through Sapphire to shopping...only 3x points, no $15 discount!! When I go through United to UR shopping I get 2x points AND see the $15 off.

BUT once the coupon is clipped on the UR page, where am I suppose to see it on the Staples page?

For me it shows the $15 off on the chase site but nothing gets discounted at checkout.
I tried different browsers in private but no luck.

Mine shows me the -$15 in my staples cart.
Did you click on the "Get $15 off your order of $150 or more."?

I FINALLY got the -$15 off $150 from the United Shop Online MileagePlus! Now let's count...how many hours did it take to get the $15 discount?! Boosha.

However, even though my Order Summary Total says $191.95, the My Cart $200 visa GC says $206.95. All ok still? I can Submit Order?

It gave me 2x points, and I do have a Sapphire. I did it once but I'm trying to work on churning this to no avail. I'm calling it a night and hoping for better luck next time.
I used my Ink card so I'm looking at $8.05 profit +1920 UR points (191.95 x5ppd x2) valued around 1.5cpp for a total profit around $38 for each purchase. IF you can do this all day, 5 minutes each, you can quit your day job....
