"Revalidation" stands for redoing the same ticket. An exch would result in a new ticket number

They changed my ticket to one day earlier. They told me that there was no need for reissue just re-validate. Makes sense? Anywhere I can make sure that I am good to go?

Ive had with DL when I booked someone in Amadeus and after the customer took the first segment I changed the return and didn't reissue it. After a couple of weeks I checked with DL and it was re-validated by it self on the new date. But when I check the ETR it still shows the old segment.

Ticket number is the same. Thats what the agent tried telling me that the ticket number will stay the same and he just has to revalidate the ticket on the new date. Does he know what he is talking about?
