Not very clear, but can anyone identify the bird in the bird feeder? Photographed today in Toms River, NJ.

Impossible to confirm 100%, but probably a Downy Woodpecker.

Past by Suzanne lake in Monsey Shabbos afternoon & saw 2 big solid black birds of a kind sitting on a fallen tree in the water.
The closest match I could find according to Merlin is Black Vultures, does it make sense?

It's possible, Vultures have a distinct look, did they look like vultures? American crows are also very large black birds.

Not great quality (took it with my iPhone, had to zoom in more then I wanted, & had about 1 second to take the picture every time they landed anywhere)
