tired of my starwood. I know the value is the best but I find it annoying to use. Points need to be transferred to airlines a while in advance. And very little to redeem for if dont want flights or hotels. Can someone reccomend another card that has good bang for my buck? thanks

they do but they are usually quicker. I have a membership rewards card with amex. Its value is not amazing but it transfers within a couple days as opposed to a couple of weeks. Ill still use my starwood but it would be nice to have another card (with good value) for purchases other than flights and hotels. For example, car rentals and gift cards.

Hi all,

Newby here. Have searched the thread but havent seen this discussed:

Which of the Chase Freedom and Amex Blue (or other free cash back cards) are easiest to get approved for. My wife has a 720 score and we will apply for a new card for her. I am new to the US and want to build my credit score so want to be an AU on her card. Problem is her current card had a 30 day issue in 2013 so our feeling is that putting me on a new card would be better (thoughts?).

Would love the opinions of the gurus here.

Thanks!

what do you mean by 30 day issue? Both cards you mentioned are easy to get approved for. Do you bank with chase? If you have an established history with them sometimes that will give you an edge.

Thanks for the reply and the warm welcome. By "30 day issue", I meant that it was 30 days past due at one point about 2 years back, otherwise good history. I was wondering if it would be worth adding an AU to that card to build credit history or if adding a new card would be better.

Im pleased to hear that both cards are easy to get. We are really lookig to build credit in advance of a potential mortgage in a few years time. Miles are really secondary. Hence we are going with a cash back card. The amex blue and Chase Freedom seem the best two. What are your thoughts on the Fidelity Amex: is it also easy to get?

Thanks again!

Which %0 intro APR credit cards, personal or business, are the easiest to get approved high credit limits? My score is 740+
