I am introducing a friend of mine to the game. He spends $100k a month on his cc and gets 1% cash back. What should his first rewards card be? I was thinking either United Club, Barclays arrival or chase IP. Any suggestions? I doubt he wants the headache of searching for saver award flights so a simple card might be the best.
Probably amex don't work for him,  unless everywhere he spends they take it,  or he's willing to get two cards.
Ink bold would have been great since it's a charge card with flex spending,  and they are willing to give very high limits.
Ink plus may be the same,  I have no experience.
He'll be frustrated with the citi cards.
I think he'll thing a use for ur points one way or another,  and will have plenty of bonus points if he's running a business,  buying supplies,  etc.

Would appreciate your recommendation on an upcoming BM and possible AOR! My current cards:

Chase Freedom 14k CL / Low Util.
Chase SP 16k CL / Low Util. / Wife is an AU
Chase Sapphire 10k CL / Wife is a Joint User [Open card, but inactive for ~ 1 year]

I want to churn the SP, but otherwise am open to ideas for a 2/3BM @ Chase or an AOR between, say, Chase and Amex. Goal is really point generation for flights and secondarily hotels; I currently have 250k UR. Ideally the new cards are churnable or, if not, no fee. My credit score is 780. Wife's is 750. For ref, I also opened up a Serv card a few weeks back, for MS purposes, which has not been used yet.

Thanks!

Any opinions on the PayPal Extras MC? I just got this: "Open a PayPal Extras MasterCard® and get $50 back as a statement credit when you spend $100 with your new card now through December 31, 2014." It gives points as follows. but it's not clear what the points are good for.
"3X points on Gas & Restaurant Purchases, 2X points on PayPal & eBay Purchases, 1X points on all other MasterCard® Purchases."

There are so many better CCs with better bonuses and point currencies.

Hi all,

I have been reading all of the information on the forums and still can not decide. I fly monthly to Israel, I prefer Delta and am about to hit Silver Medallion status, book most of my tickets through the Chase UR portal. Starting September I will be flying twice every 6 weeks TLV-NYC. Placed out of MQD requirement. Spend the most monthly on travel (gas, flights...) and restaurants.

Would someone mind helping me make a decision on a card that gives me better bonus features (cash back, airline miles, free upgrades). To me, the most important factors are no forex fees, as I pay in full and on time for every card.

Here is some information regarding my current cards: Chase Sapphire, TD Bank Easy Rewards Visa, Amex Platinum (family account, I do not earn miles/points on this card - but I have the $200 airline credit, priority pass lounge access, global entry all through Amex).

I do not know the most valuable way to use my points as I don't know the value of them, do I transfer to/from Delta to upgrade seat with miles, book via UR with points, use a cashback card...

Any way that you can steer me in the right direction would be much appreciated. If you need more information to help, please ask.

Are you charged the annual fee at the beginning of the year or in the end? On Chase cards? Amex?

Hi all,

.............

Any way that you can steer me in the right direction would be much appreciated. If you need more information to help, please ask.
You already have the SP - that's good for many travel expenses.
and the Amex Platinum for travel convinience.
It seems to me that you would benefit from the Amex Delta card - more points when booking and some status - IDK more about it.

I was given an ultimatum from Chase that i can only get one card right now. I can choose between the BA with 50K avios, the Chase Freedom with 20K UR or the Sapphire with 40K. What do you suggest? The Freedom is unusual. The Sapphire and BA I can probably get in a few months...any suggestions?
