but freedom is points that can by transfered to miles

You sure about that?

You cannot transfer Freedom points directly to mileage programs.  However, one can transfer their Freedom points to a Sapphire or Ink card (if they have one) which can then be transferred to miles.

you can get 1% cash back from freedom, but if you transfer and redeem as miles they're worth much more.
Workflowy. You won't know what you're missing until you try it.

Is there any non-chase card that has a good bonus on phone/internet bills?

Dan can't link to Amex cards on the credit card page on the main site without an affiliate link?
Does that mean Dan will no longer promote new Amex offers?

Amex Delta Gold link in the wiki takes you to creditcards.com which asks you to fill out info for a soft pull to match you with cards. Legit? Oh, and the sites security cert doesn't seem %100.

I am introducing a friend of mine to the game. He spends $100k a month on his cc and gets 1% cash back. What should his first rewards card be? I was thinking either United Club, Barclays arrival or chase IP. Any suggestions? I doubt he wants the headache of searching for saver award flights so a simple card might be the best.

Is he looking to sell? Does he want the points to fly? Maybe he'd just be better off with the Club card or a 2% back card.  Meanwhile some cash back cards have limits.

He only flies long distance a few times a year so 1.8 million United points seems excessive. What is the best 2% card?  If he was looking to sell, the best option would be to split between spg and chase IP... But selling is not his first option. He would prefer the use them.

Assuming he wants to fly business, let him get a points card and pay someone $100-150 to book him award flights. If for economy, go for 2% Barclays arrival.

The 2% arrival is only good if his yearly travel is worth more than $25,000
