I just used Eastland going from Flatbush to the airport and back. It was $30 each way (if JFK) and of course a tip. I find them the most reliable and inexpensive car service. As soon as we land I call them from the plane and they are there pretty fast. Sometimes before my luggage. I use them all the time. I hate to say it but I called one of the newer frum places and they were considerably more money. It's a shame. Enjoy your trip.

If you don't have heavy luggage take the train ($2.50) to Atlantic Ave- Pacific street station. Take the Long Island Railroad ($3-7) to Jamaica. Then take the beautiful airtrain ($5). It takes about 50 minutes till JFK.
Airlines sending me "We're in this together" emails.

Bruh, where were you when my suitcase weighed it 51.50 pounds?

Or better yet, scrap the LIRR and the $5 on the Airtrain, by transferring at Atlantic/Pacific/Barclays Center/WhateverTHyouWantToCallit to the 3 train to New Lots Ave, take the B15 bus to JFK (and from there you can take the Airtrain for free to any terminal)!  Bingo!

Total= $2.50

True, but it's less than a quarter the price ;D

Re. Car service, there's a new Co. "Always On Time" advertising $30 to JFK from anywhere in Brooklyn!

alwaysontime.info

To EWR it's $45 + $40 tolls = $85.

Haven't tried them, so I don't know how reliable they are..
Credit cards accepted though ;)

Lav davka (on both points).  But anyways, good luck finding a yellow cab to hail, in [Jewish] Brooklyn.

and i've done many times it's usually under 40 from JFK (if u see traffic on the Belt, direct the driver to get off at Pennsylvania Ave and take Flatlands-it's usually pretty quick)  and around 42 from LGA (unfortunately I've yet to discover a good local alternate from LGA)

Oops. Somehow the conversation developed into Brooklyn-JFK.
You're absolutely correct.
