Can't we find a place a little more upscale than EJ's? A DO isn't just a simple get together; people spend time and money to gather and shmooze about things we value. It's a DO (dine out/day out) not a HO (hang out).

I kinda agree, but I'm okay with EJs because I'm not planning on spending a lot anyway. From the one time I walked into MB with a date (and no res) I realized you need a res bc it's packed but it definitely would be a good atmosphere for a DO. Although, I don't know about the bad reviews... NoBo is the pasta place nowadays. I think it's still pasta...Again, anywhere is fine with me - will just determine how much food I'll be getting for my money. :-p

BTW... DW just approved - I'm in!

I canceled the reservation earlier. But I've been there a few times and the food has been always good. It is a bit pricey though.
