Do you use it? What do you use it for specifically? How hard is it to learn and customize?

@mods search salesforce there are many threads that can be merged,

i would like to get my hands dirty on Salesforce, do you have any good leads where you can point me to the right direction? thanks

I'm already familiar with js php and sql, my understanding was that Salesforce would be something close but i see now that its cloud based with its own language, its built on apex and sosql.

is there a free version for development?

just to be clear, both Apex and SOSQL are SF specific.

I worked on a complex integration project for SF where millions were spent on integration consultants and the project was never completed. SF has its limitations and is good for what it’s good for, but trying to shoehorn too much into SF might not be worth it.

thats what im trying to understand, working with integrations requires you to learn apex and nosql, or there is some bridge api that can manipulate the data?

Why are you leaning towards Salesforce?

I wasn’t doing any of the actual integration so I can’t help you there, but there are APIs:

I’m working on a completely different integration project now (with NetSuite) and I can tell you for sure that having competent resources (whether hired or consultants) makes all the difference.

As for log a call to salesforce, well what do you know, I’m an admin in a law firm always looking for ways to automate the work for my case staff.
Are you having the phone log into salesforce on the phone itself and sending the info there? You’re sending an email ? I’m curious!
Essentially using a webhook and make.com
