Lol - I'm just picturing the scene - the shadchan asks the guy "what do you want the girl to be like"? The guy answers "she needs to enjoy traveling and not mind a husband who is addicted to collecting miles and using them"

They used to ask about: tableclothes, stacking dishes etc

Now its: credit cards, miles etc

Its not a joke, my first shidduch date after 3 dates she told me she didn't see a need to travel and I stopped it right then and there :)

Same thing happened to me on a date, although that wasn't the only factor in my case for ending it...

I think you folks are all missing the point. The entire purpose of racking up points and status etc. is to be able to enjoy them together with your eishes chayil.

In my experience, First Class, high-roller suites in Five star hotels, and caddy upgrades are only as enjoyable as the person you choose to enjoy them with.

Agreed but you first have to find someone to appreciate them with and being that we all enjoy them we need someone who can as well

I once dated a guy who was so afraid of flying that he had never been out of the new York area and planned on never ever flying in his life. So basically I told my mom she can have my miles If I marry him.... Needless to say she suddenly became very pushy... Lol. Anyhow It didn't work out for other reasons

As crazy as it sounds, enjoying to travel was a very important requirement of mine. Sure enough, 2 years and 2 RTW trips later my wife has passed every test. Best part is that she leaves all the planning to me and does all of the packing!

I agree, traveling isnt fun alone. But one does not have to married, a trip with a couple of friends is also great.

My wife also passed all tests. Jordan, Egypt,Turkey, China.... But damaxer, how do you manage to get her to do all the packing. I think that deserves most credit ;-)
