I hatted unbroken... I started watching a movie about a runner with a troubled childhood and end up with the japs torturing ppl ... not cool!

+1 amazing book.  Read it few years ago and was like this will make an amazing movie.  Actually thought this was one of the rare cases where the movie did a good job with a great book

Now that was a good movie...
My issue with the movie was how shocking it was for me since i had know idea the movie was even about the war... I thought it was about a runner ;) I just wasnt prepared!

Good choices. I would also add Peter Jackson, Eastwood, Cameron and Coen.
