Went on a bus convoy 2 years ago.
Buses left to go at around 1:30am from Rechalim.
Was quite the experience, even though I'm not a graves kinda person. I went to show its importance as a historical site.

Chk out this old pic before the 'indigenous' population moved in.

was just there on Yesod shebeyesod. Was pretty nuts. They made it into a mini rashbi on lag baomer- food, music- only difference was the crazy amount of soldiers and tear gas due to the (arab) rock throwing. I guess we had it better than the group that went in 2 weeks ago, the cousins poured gasoline or something on the ground that the convoy was going to pass and when it came- they lit it. The regulars there told me it was "normal" as is the rock throwing. The whole experience is a little crazy- they go in with 10 buses at a time, and after they park, they open the doors all at once. With 50 people on each bus- and 10 buses - it makes it 500 people running to get into a tiny tiny room. Either way - it was a cool experience and zchus to daven there.

I have been to many kivrei tzaddikim but alas never to kever yosef.

I have tried so many times, even been on a bus once that didn't get in.

It is a dream of mine to make it there. Hopefully on my next trip to Israel I'll get the chance.

Isn't going to Kever Yosef literally risking your life, or am I misinformed?

dunno as a guy who grew up in Israel I have been in many dangerous places throughout my life (including being lost in the Arab part of chevron for a good 20 mins the night after the itamar murder and turning into ramalah once by mistake) but I have never been nor is it my plan to be in never Yosef before mashiach comes its like asking the arabs to come for you its too risky there have been many story's there of Arabs throwing stones while everyone was there authorized and when they do start throwing the soldiers can't really do anything about it since they are not allowed to fire

Doesn't sound like Judaism to me.
