Drago's reason is why my cousin convinced me to go "up" to Har Habayit. It is our land. BTW, my son was there last night.
It's why my Rav was pro us going up as well. (Obviously following the guidelines of where you can go and can't go.)
But no need to rehash the discussion here. It's been had ad-nasueum, although slowly, the chareidi community is going up as well.

just saying that you may wanna look at the video from pesach of chasidim going up to har habayis and then you can say whatever you want but if those Arabs would've decided to go crazy no 7-8 soldiers would've stopped them

Sure, we've given them absolute control up there due to our neglect. If we start backing down everytime we're challenged, then we may as well all move to Brooklyn, and hope that our neighbors there accept us.

no one is saying not I'm just saying that let the soldiers who are trained to go up there and fight go and don't add them extra stuff to do.
And how about you go onto youtube and see what crazy videos they have of these soldiers getting into fights with the Arabs every second day its bad enough that they can't do anything about that and have to danger them self everytime why add on?
Look at this David hanachlaii story happening now

I certainly hear your point.
How I see it, the army is there to protect our interests and included in that is the ability to have movement to the places that are important to us.
If the government thinks that kever yosef is an important site, than it's falls under the scope of the army's job and tafkid. And kol hakavod to the army that they still see the importance to this emotionally significant site.

I'm no gadol, but I'd also advise to not go in the way he did. They basically tried sneaking in.

This regular method of going in a lot safer and regulated.

+1 no disrespect meant but to me that's like saying a guy jumped out of a plane with no parachute, so don't jump out of planes. Maybe just don't jump out of planes without a parachute...

A few reasons are 1. I am named after this tzadik. 2. I'll admit it was cool going on an armored bus and seeing dozens of soldiers and outposts as we drove through schem. 3. The atmosphere is something to be experienced lively songs music and dancing at 2 am is something to be seen. 4. Something that is forbidden often tastes better and because the Arabs don't want us to be there it is that much sweeter going. Especially when I never thought I'd be able to go, but always wanted to.

Some valid points I guess I'm too litvish  to relate....

although slowly, the chareidi community is going up as well.

This ain't true.
The people that made the whole ruckus a few weeks ago are from the same family that has gone forever and are widely condemned.

They're not the only ones.
But I do understand that the majority of the community doesn't go b/c their rabbonim have assured it.

http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/headlines-breaking-stories/229143/1200-mispallalim-visit-kever-yosef.html

there was no molotov cocktails thrown during my entry in (maybe a later one). There where a few rocks, that basicly nicked the armored buses. Picture they are showing is old.
