That was in Oslob, Cebu, Philippines btw - No license required for diving.

BTW, If you want to scuba dive but cant afford or don't have time for a license, i suggest doing a PADI discovery dive. - I have done it in Egypt, Thailand, Indonesia etc.

I would say about 70F  - BTW, Water temperature around Dubai hovers between 70-85F

Correction, You shouldn't fly 18 hours AFTER diving (Preflight Surface Interval), But that usually applies to multiple dives. If you are doing a single dive, you can fly 12 hours after.

Correct.

The issue is going up too fast, not down.

PADI recommends,as above: 12 hours for one dive (and come on, who does only one dive!), and 18 hours after multiple.

As per the web site u cant visit the Burj Khalifa after diving for x amount of hours.

layover in dubai from 115pm till 245am - was planning  on going to mall of dubai and burj khalifa any other recommendations ? easy to store some hand luggage in the airport while i go out ?

new emirates flight from jfk - 330pm arrives dubai 115pm - fyi for anyone

Costs like $5.50 for luggage storage, If you can make restaurant reservations at the Burj Al Arab thats pretty cool, they have a nice beach nearby too.

You can try the Burj AL Arab supposedly the nicest hotel in the world but you will have to make reservations to get in, with regarding storing your luggage you can do that at the airport, it's not expensive.

Anyone know the best way to get to Dubai from Abu Dhabi Airport? We are not flying First Class, unfortunately, so an airline car is not an option. I have a car rental reservation for $20 as of now, but I am not sure whether that's actually the most convenient option. I will be in Dubai from about 9:00am -- 2:00am. Thanks.
