They'd probably use a double layer of foil if you ask politely and watch over them.

Eh, I still can't wrap my head around spending 30k+ SPG to stay an hour out of DXB with all the incredible options in the city.  I get the privacy/cottage/tent feel but still.

I have a 20AED Du (one of the two main phone providers) reload card for anyone going.  They gave it to me at the airport as I was leaving.

ETA:  Free to whoever wants.

planning a stop-over in dubai for 2-3 nights in may and was planning on using my spg points. there seems to be way too many properties to choose from. i understand that the GH and le royal meridian are the nicest but i really dont want to use all of my spg points. i was looking at the sheraton dubai creek which only requires 12k points but i also noticed that nightly rates are about $135 and there is no way i can bring myself to redeem spg points at a 1.1c valuation.

does anybody have any other recommendation? would prefer to stay in the downtown area close to the city, restaurants, malls, other attractions.

LM Mina Seyahi looked beautiful, and it's a 10 minute drive to Mall of the Emirates and about 20 minutes to downtown.

Looking for a hotel for 2 nights. Don't want to spend more than $300 a night really.
After looking online:

Hyatt Regency Dubai looks the cheapest and pretty good.
JW Marriott Marquis also looks good- but its about 2x the price of the Hyatt.

Suggestions of best location as well? Touring for the 2 full days we are there.

The Conrad is pretty cheap.
Is it worth 2x the Hyatt?
Conrad will be $310 a night

Think I am going to go with points/ free night at Grand Hyatt.

Looks like I'll have a stopover for about 20-21 hours in Dubai.
What should I prioritize in regards to tourism?

Forgot to add, It's an overnight stopover. Landing about 6:30 p.m. and leaving the next day at 3:00.
I don't think I can fit all the above, into that time frame.
