quick TR .. Was just in Dubai for 24 hours, had absolutely no issues with multiple Israeli stamps or my wife's Israeli student visa passport control was actually quite friendly compared to other countries. Ironically my UAE passport stamp was put directly next to my Israeli stamp. Stayed at the PH - amazing hotel with amazing service in my opinion the nicest one that iv'e been to (Tokyo, Paris, Toronto, Washington DC, Aviera, Buenos Aires) was able to upgrade using suite night at check-in . Received as amenities Enormous Fruit Platter, champagne and Free mini bar! Hotel is located on a Private golf course, feels like a resort rather than a city hotel, that said I still had views of the Burj Al Kahlifa from the room. Rented a car and covered a decent amount of the city.
Burj al kalifa / Dubai Mall - the mall is a very nice mall yet still just a mall the aquarium was quite cool (from the outside) the fountains are outside the mall with a view of the Burj Kalifa I think they run on the hour (didn't stick around) made a quick stop at the Burj Al Arab - apparently people pay $100 to have tea / see the inside I didnt want to do that so tried something different told security I had a reservation they made me wait while they verified for a minute they couldn't find so they just let me through to work it out at the desk. once thru I valet'ed car (free) and gave myself a quick tour. After that headed to Gold /Spice Souks was nice walking around although wasn't interesting after an hour or so. Probably could have spent another day there although i think i covered most of the main spots.
