Anyone know the best way to get to Dubai from Abu Dhabi Airport? We are not flying First Class, unfortunately, so an airline car is not an option. I have a car rental reservation for $20 as of now, but I am not sure whether that's actually the most convenient option. I will be in Dubai from about 9:00am -- 2:00am. Thanks.

If your flying Etihad there is a free complimentary bus service from AUH > to a few main spots in Dubai.

The same applies from Dubai to Abu Dhabi.

Thank you! Do you know how often that bus runs? Am I right to assume I can take the bus back to airport as well?

Yes I did in in 2012 but research if the rules are changing.

The terms say the bus is not available for discounted tickets: "Etihad Express service is not available for use with complimentary and discounted tickets (ID, AD etc).” I am traveling on the Christmas day fare-glitch. Will I be able to get a seat at the airport even though the online reservation system will not let me book a seat?

Check out this nice Groupon for Uber in Dubai: https://www.groupon.ae/deals/abu-dhabi/uber-8/56795774

AED 15 for AED 100. That’s the approximate equivalent of $4 for $27 on Uber. For those using Uber to travel from the mosque to Dubai, this can heavily reduce the cost of your travels.

Limited one per person (but you can buy up to four as an additional gift). Must be used on one ride.

Guys,

I have tickets to HK through Dubai booked when Eithad had the glitch.
I'm starting to get nervous. I read the posts that it's OK to be there, especially when only going through the airport. But I'm a Chasidishe guy with long Payos (yes, I know that I can tuck them away. I'm doing that) and beard. In my passport picture I have everything out, no mistaking there.

Do I have to be scared?

Thank you I really appreciate this place and your answers.

The monthly obligatory post :P

I passed through with my beard, Payos, hat and jacket, Tzitzis sticking out, Teffilin in my carry-on Israeli stamp in my passport and I'm here to tell you about it...

That's a whole different topic! You have to travel to somewhere, that you know you won't find other people there.
