Emirates chauffeur question:  I'm trying to remember if you can get back into the chauffeur reservation desk after you leave the airport; does anyone know?  Also, how long after your flight lands can you still get a chauffeur?

95% sure you can.  I'd bet they don't have an official time, but I'm sure an hour or two wont matter.

I'm wondering about 5 hours later...  I remember that sliding glass door to exit from those counters but for some reason I think they're one-way.

yes you can

Thanks.  I land at 5:35pm and want to use a chauffer to AUH at 10:30pmish.  Don't feel like wasting it to the mall and then paying to get to AUH later if I can avoid it.

If arriving at 2:30PM is there enough to  do close by that It pays to take a later flight.
Options:
1) Leave 5:30PM
2) leave 11:30PM
3) leave 4:00 AM
Thanks

Yes, Ask flight crew to speed it up for you if you'd like.

I'm flying into Dubai and staying for about 40 hours so I will be picking up my bags and rechecking them on way to MLE. Acc to UAE customs, you cannot bring in home-cooked food (officially). Anyone ever have any issues with that? I plan on bringing POM meals "airline packaged" by POM. Is it safer to not have POM make it "airline ready" and put in suitcase instead? Or I shouldn't have issues?

There is a security check right before the arrivals hall. They do (randomly) scan your luggage, and they also did a quick visual check of my carry-on luggage. Worst case scenario is that they would just take it away from you.

that is kind of the worst case as he would not have food for MLE

ETA: I packed the food in a airline ready pom box in a suitcase. Made it to MLE and it was delicious.

TSA opened the luggage/box and checked but thankfully, they didn't bother taking any of the food...:)

I have 2 short stopovers in Dubai. Both daytime
1) 6.5 hours
2)7.5 hours
Is that enough time to see some sights or is traffic bad? and are they far from the airport?
Thank You

Not far from the airport - maybe 10-20 min w/o traffic.

What time are your outbounds? Because traffic between 4:30-8:00PM will definitely be a problem for you

Both are right before. How about AM rush hour?
