I've got a trip coming up Xmas time to Abu Dhabi (2 nights) and then to Dubai (5 nights - including shabbos).  For those that have stayed in Bonvoy or Hilton properties with executive lounges -- any reports of them providing kosher options upon request?  I plan to ask at the hotels I'm staying at but figured I would see if others have already had success with this request.

Anyone been to Dubai recently that can share how much people are careful about Covid there? I'm reading that you are required to wear a mask at all times even outside. Is that something most people on the street are keeping or is it more lax outdoors?
Thanks

I was there two weeks ago - they are strict indoors. At entrance of hotels and malls you will be asked to put one. I've seen it several times.
There is no requirements outdoors AFAIK

I went. Was definitely interesting..

A tip that another DDFer gave me is that tickets are free for students when you book online, and no one asks you for proof that you are a student

Greetings. Considering Dubai/Abu Dhabi in December. I transferred MR to Emirates and booked two business class tickets for the Morning flight on the final day of Chanukah from JFK (only nonstop in business available that week). I've gone through most of the pages here since 2020 and my head is spinning from all of the amazing hotel options.

As a Titanium Marriott, Hyatt Globalist and Platinum Fairmonter (along with largely useless Diamond Hilton) Dubai seems to have countless insane options. To narrow things down a bit:

A) If I'm gonna get free breakfast in Hyatts Marriotts and Hilton are there any in the UAE that do this particularly well? I'm wondering if any of these hotels have kosher restaurants in them that supply the free breakfast.

B) Are there issues with being in The Palm and getting out on shabbos?

C) Is Mul Yam the best place to eat there right now?

D) Is there any reason to spend a night (or multiple nights) in Abu Dhabi or going for the day is sufficient?

E) Any updates on the Al Maha food situation? I spoke to a very nice person at the hotel today that told me the hotel will cook kosher for guests and when I asked for more details he gave me the email for the Executive Chef (who is out of town). Pretty annoying that their 14 day cancellation policy went to 30 days so if I book anything now for Chanukah time its non refundable essentially.

Thanks!

Hi

I would need a minyan Mincha/Maariv on the 19-21 of December. The gracious Chabad people cannot tell me yet if they will have a minyan. Any individuals or groups that will be there then?
