wouldn't mind some more info about Dubai.. did you see anything?

planning on going skiing, and to burj khalifa.. any other musts? although arrive early morning, and leaving later night, will probably take a hotel to rest a little.. planning on staying near the mall...

You will need reservations to go up the burj khaliffa, the ski thing is in the mall of the emirates, did not do the desert safari thing as Ive done that in Namibia 2005 and Israel.

Moish I'm saving my chase Hyatt 2 nights free for Paris or the Maldives.

You will need reservations to go up the burj khaliffa,
and you should book those way in advance, as the prime viewing times (about 1hr-30min before sunset) book up quickly

thx i'll keep an eye on it..

seems like this dessert safari thing is offered all over, but I would hate to waste my time at their BBQ, belly dancing and beduin tents.... would much prefer having a short visit with only the things that we want to do.

what else did you do?

any tips for deals on hotels? want something near the ski/mall...

tons of great hotels, but feel stupid spending $200 for a day...
I have a fee things written in TR which hopefully should be done soon.

But regarding the Burj Khalifa I didn't make reservations in advance and it costed an arm and a leg to get up on the spot.

Is it really necessary to view both day and night? probably like the CN tower in Toronto no?

I cant imagine wanting to stay up 1.5 hrs... am I wrong? need to book today if I still want that slot..

Should I have any worries if I go to Dubai for a day? Being a Jew and having Israeli Stamps and  Israeli Visa in my passport? Also, I am under the impression that its safe, correct?

I would like to go and meet with a view perspective suppliers for electronics and would stay overnight. TIa

Often when im in Muslim countries I wear a very large knitted kippah (i'm sort of dark so I blend in and everyone thinks I'm a muslim)

I was in Dubai 2 weeks ago...Did the khalifa thing, drove around, did the mall etc. - meh, not worth visiting again IMHO

Dubai is a piece of cake, leave your IDF T shirt @ home, where a cap as others have mentioned, I have friends who were in Doha with many israeli stamps and no questions asked.
