yep, box doesn't have it yet, they will probably soon, as they always tend to imitate dropbox.

so how much memory do you have with dropbox?  I guess if you run out of memory with these things you can always just make a new account for free with a different email address...

Edit- I looked it up myself and dropbox only give you 3 gig hence seems sugar sync is better...

+1, I'm at 8.5gb :)

Btw if you have an edu address dropbox will give you 500mb per referral instead of the 250mb, even retroactively... See here.

Very sad that there are so few Jewish apps for Droid..
I used to have Palm ...years ago, and there was a ton of Seforim etc..

But with the moderne'  android.. Embarrassing!

All i can find that is useful (Yiddishe zach'n): Siddur, Tehilim, a daily Chita's/Rambam (divided into 3 separate apps) with a horrible UI and format -sorta' backwards.., a Kitzur Shu"a, and one more App which has a ton in it but is soooo slllloooowwww...
Its called "Orayta -Jewish books" and its amazingly got on it: Tanach with a loads of meforshim, mishna with ra'av and Tos"y, Shas w. Rashi and Tosfos, Rambam, part of Shulchan aruch, Shu"a HaRav, Mishna Berura, part of Aruch Hashulchan, lots of Mussar seforim and much more... it's just very very slow..

I know, we're all so spoiled, but for some weird reason I expect better..
For Iphone there's so many more hot apps -well done, why not Android?!! :-[

Android has very little support for the Hebrew encoding, compared to the iPhone, which makes it more difficult for developers out there to create good apps. So the very little Hebrew in the apps they can put out there, the apps always end up buggy or slow, or LTR instead of RTL. It becomes very discouraging. Even if the ICS has incredible support, many Android phones can't upgrade at the same time when a release comes out, unlike the iOS. Take me, for example. I have a Motorola Triumph on Virgin Mobile (thanks Dan), and it's still stuck on 2.2 Froyo, and there's no official release yet for any kind of upgrade (unless you are a bit advanced, and rooted your phone, and used a custom firmware). This idea turns a lot of people off, and some people feel it's worth paying the extra buck for more support (and to be jailed), and switch to the Apple.

Anyone know of a good Android Hebrew/Jewish calendar app?
Keep searching, but just letting you know, this thread is reserved for mostly iOS apps.

I mentioned this one before (I think near the beginning of the thread).

So BAHayman pointed me to this nice Zmanim app that can calculate zmanim with a zip code or coordinates even when offline.
And he helped me add hebrew dates and yom tovs to the built in google calendar.
All in all a decent makeshift solution to the lack of the Palm Luach app.

Wow, Dan, thank you so so much.  You are amazing!

As a side note:
Just want to let you know, every time I see a post of yours and I see that photo of your cutest cutest baby, you bring me so much joy.  You really don't know what an effect you can have on another person seeing such a Tayereh neshoma, how you can lighten up someone's day...

All I can say is that I wish he give you only much nachas and he be (as kind as you are,) even kinder than you, with  many many long, happy, healthy years and (at least) successful as you physicallly and spiritually!

Whatever you do, don't take that adorable picture away!

That post was merged from a topic about iPhone Apps. Take a look at the post title and it will show the original thread title.

FoxFi works great on my GNex for wifi modem with no rooting required, and it's free!

I posted about it elsewhere on DDF. It's really a gem as it's so simple to use.
