Can anyone recommend a good email app?

I don't need tabs or color coding or bundling. I don't need a built in to-do list.

What I want is an intuitive app, preferably one that will pick up calendar appointments.

The latest version of the standard android app wasnt bad until it stopped working. I tried outlook which was is horrible.

Looking for a good notes app.
One with a widget where I can edit from the home screen and not have to open the app.

I like simplenote - though i dont think it has a widget. very nice and simply designed.

You can select the specific note you want to edit in the widget and it opens the app in that note
