U can search for a torrent (.apk or a direct download from a third party or check slide me and the other shady app stores) if you know someone with adao fm he can back it up and Bluetooth it to them must apps will work even the devices specs don't officially let the main exception would be flash based apps although even if you get it to work it will probably be buggy and laggy
English?

if its not on getjar and 4shared do you think I should bother checking other app stores? Kind of a pain to download and register on each one etc..

Option 1. Search for a torrent of the app on your phone use adownloader or any torrent client for whatsapp.apk our whatever you're looking for
Option 2 search for a direct download of the app you're looking for eg. megaupload a"h these 2 options well work for any paid app that you don't especially want to pay for as well
Option 3 check if the alternate Android markets have the app there not as worried about your device but being able to handle the app eg.get jar and slide me
Option 4 if you have a friend with file manager that allows you to back up apps eg. adao (no longer available) and titanium backup (requires root) they can download the app and Bluetooth/email the .apk file to you

I don't think Titanium allows you to bt an apk, but if you are rooted then there are easier ways to do it.

Of course I was gonna follow up.
Also, I asked you here as opposed to over PM so that you can get more credit in public.

Why?
You were wondering how come I didn't contact you back and it was all because I never got into the email address to begin with. Now that I did and saw what you sent, I would like to thank you. And while we're on this thread let me do it publicly: Thank you!
Yeah, pass something to drink this cheese is making me thirsty ;D

I just went from the SGS2 to the SGS3 and 2 useful apps that helped with the move were;
Call Logs Backup & Restore
SMS Backup and Restore
Both by "Ritesh Sahu"

I tried other apps that are supposed to backup up my SMS and call logs to Gmail and then restore them from there to my new phone but either they didnt work at all or they only restored partial....

The above 2 apps create an XML file which I then forwarded to myself in an email and downloaded it to my new phone and moved it to their respective "backup folders" and restored from there. Worked like a charm.

The thought just popped into my head  - shouldn't there be an app that can put a Sprint phone on Roam only???

A quick search turned up Roam Control which has been banned from the app store and for some reason doesn't work on LG phones   :(

There are some others out there supposedly but you need to root to get it.

Has anyone here successfully gotten a Sprint roam only app that doesn't need root access??
