And I'm not sure there are any caller ID ones that match the above requirement.
If anyone knows of one, even paid, please advise.
White pages, does it get more "reputable" than that?

Does a name come up as the call come in or do I have to manually go and look it up after the fact?

Traveler by Flightstats is a great application. It's mainly for tracking the status of any flight but it has lots of features. You can search by flight number, airport or route.
Among other functions there are flight notifications and current weather conditions for the airports in question.

Didn't download it but for the preview, I like the fact that you could see the path of that flight and where the airplane is holding on that path. That's a nice feature.

Are these apps in this thread also available for apple?

And if there are some that are...would they be the same app?  Meaning if its good on android does that mean its good on apple...and vice versa?

Yes some apps mentioned are available for iphone and yes often if an app is good on Android it is good on iphone and vice versa. But it's not always like that.

I know...but wouldn't an app made for the company "Apple" apply to all their products? i.e. iphone, itouch, ipad...

Or ipad has totally different apps than an iphone?

If they're all the same...I think I still have my question...?

  • Location: The value of a forum such as this one is not in that one can post a question and receive an answer, but in that the question has most likely been asked before, and the answer is available to him that will but only use the search function.
  • Programs: 1. Search on google. 2. Search in the right board of DDF with a general word or two. 3. Read the wiki. 4. Read the thread. 5. Ask away.

Sorry about the delay (forgot about this post). It's supposed to come up right away, however IME YMMV.

It's really cool, it even has some names that my landline won't pick up!

BTW something to keep in mind is that on 3g CDMA there is no data connection while on a call, so it will not show who's calling until you hang up... (unless you have wifi)
