Does anyone know a good android app that is a good picture viewer for pictures on a ftp?

I currently use Picasa - I have pix uploaded on it, and my tablet (HC 3.2) has the built in app "Gallery" that supports Picasa, and you could browse thru your picasa folders....

I really would rather a diff app that would support my own ftp, instead of having to use picasa

Something which has bothered me greatly with android apps is that they all get permissions at installation, ranging from using the internet (usually makes sense) to reading your contacts! So I decided to look high and low for a firewall which would let me deny them the ability of of doing that despite their permissions. I found an app called LBE Privacy guard and it works like a charm, needs root access (ie phone must be rooted). I also found that my battery life is so much better now that I disallowed data and location access from so many apps.
One of the features on CM7 is that it allows you to edit the permissions, it also lets you tether not as ad-hoc and much more...

Is there an app or a setting that can adjust the email view to "fit to screen size" I am using a Galaxy S2 and when I get emails in order to see the whole page I need to scroll side to side. On the same exact email I checked with the iPhone and u can see everything on one screen and its also very clear.

Gmail app is great the only downside is attachments (could sometime be a real pain if you need to see a pdf and gmail decides to open it for you in gmail). Also, Email is a client so I think it actually saves the messages on the phone, while Gmail only downloads the last 20 or so.

The dearth of quality jewish apps for Android is shocking.
How is it that the Palm OS Luach and Siddur apps from over 10 years ago were light-years more advanced than the Android apps?

I think Androids problem with nekudot has something to do with it...

Still no excuse for why there's nothing like the Palm OS luach.  Definitely missing that app.
