Looking for an app that will stream video from my google drive.
It's imperative that I will be able to speed up playback, so the built in GD player is no good..

ES File Explorer, you can access GDrive from there as if it were a local file, and just play the video file with whatever player you usually use. VLC, MX player etc.

For some reason VLC doesnt play it? I start the GD video from within the ES file explorer, VLC starts but keeps spinning "please wait"..?

In Google Now (Voice Search on older phones) you can say "note to self feed the cat" and it sends it as an email that you can read and listen too. (dunno if you would have same issue of not being able to hear it on a desktop, I never tried)

ok got it its an .amr file and cant play it on desktop

QuickTime Player
RealPlayer version 11 and later
VLC media player version 1.1.0 and later
Among others, can all play .amr files

Just tried it, works with both, VLC and MX. Try it with a smaller file, maybe it takes longer on larger files as it needs to buffer.

Use any voice memo app (ex. Smart Voice Recorder) , and use any file syncing app, (ex. Bit Torrent Sync, Dropbox) to sync the folder where the files are saved to your desktop.
