My Swype was getting pretty slow so I decided to give Google Keyboard another shot and discovered I might actually like it. I don't remember exactly what I didn't like about it last time but I guess they fixed whatever it was. It's quick and smooth. The only con is that there's no swiping in Hebrew but Swype's Hebrew dictionary was so incomplete I found myself having to key in half the words anyways (after trying to Swype them in unsuccessfully first) so I can live with that (and switching between Hebrew and English is quicker/easier too).
Update: Hebrew working, I have no idea if it's something I did or something else happened.

I noticed GK isn't as good at understanding my swipes as Swype was, I find myself constantly correcting it while Swype mostly got it right the first time. Is it because I was using Swype for such a long time so it "learned" my style and just using GK for longer will let it learn? I don't remember how good Swype was in the beginning...

I think that in order for Hebrew to work you have to download a dictionary. I don't know how to do it manually, but a little while after I activated Hebrew I got a notification that a dictionary was available, and swiping started working after I downloaded it.

I downloaded the dictionary when I started using GK.
To do it manually go to Settings>Text Correction>Add-on dictionaries and chose Hebrew.

Thanx I'll try that. Does it make sense that some keyboards support other languages and some don't?

I'm guessing yes, because they're really designed for the virtual keyboard, not the physical one. So in order to use a different language with the physical one, the app would have to specifically convert the input into the desired language.
