Stone Challah Board
« on: August 15, 2021, 02:19:56 PM »
I got this (Really Heavy) stone Challah Board. The problem is that it seems unfinished- its plain raw stone. It gets scratched when cutting on it. Also gives the "chills" when cutting on it. anyone have any solution? (The store refuses to take it back)
I was thinking of sealing it with something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Stone-Care-International-Granite-Sealer/dp/B01N8UFAWV/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8
Any helpful ideas would be really be appreciated.
Thanks!

Maybe buy a new challah board and use the old one as a cooking stone, something like this:

Vital VGL1000-01 Volcano Stone Cooking Tile, 8" x 12" ($50.00)

I don’t know if sealing it will prevent scratches, I don’t think granite is supposed to scratch

Will sealing give it that glossy finish?

Something like thishttps://judaicaplaza.com/products/ct-jkgctb27?_pos=152&_sid=5d2f20858&_ss=r. Got as a present and its nice so would love to make it work if we can finish it with some type of sealant....
