Are there any recommended  tailors on Kowloon?
I used Sam's, and 3.5 years later the suit, which I wear every 3 weeks on average, is still excellent.

Need some help here. Wanna be in Kowloon this weekend, but every shabbos friendly hotel is just sold out. I checked Sheraton, Shangri la, both intercontinentals. Anyone has any ideas what I can do?

Is there a convention this week? When I was at the Shangri la last week, there was no one there because of the protests
Did you call the hotel to see if they have any rooms?
Life isn't about checking the boxes. Nobody cares.

Royal Garden is abt 5 min walk from KZ.  Very solid hotel.

False alarm. Apparently my hotels.com account was set up to search from sep 6 to 8 2020 🙈. Oh well.  There’s more than enough availability for this weekend. Appreciate the replies

If I have a week vacation and considering splitting the time between HK (Kowloon) and Thailand (Chiang Mai), how would you recommend? Does 2 nights in HK and 5 in CM make sense?

If you have a vacation now, I'd stay clear of Hong Kong. There are too many protests going on. Stick to Thailand and just do a few cities.

Were you in HKG recently that you are saying this? I wasn't so I wouldn't give advice but I did personally speak to a few people who were there very recently and they said it was the best time to be there because mainland Chinese are staying away so there isn't the usual crowding in tourist areas. They were also completely unaffected by any protests which are mostly on the Island so Kowloon side they didn't see any.

If someone wants to go they should do their research. As long as the protestors keep staying away from the airport my opinion is it should be fine.

Was in Hong Kong last night. Saw those riot police getting ready for a protest

They don’t let you into airport without showing a valid ticket, valid in the next 24 hours

Prepare it before you go to the airport
they made me load it up and my internet was very slow

Not sure it makes sense to get something made in a 12 hr layover
