true good point if you want clothes you should go over shabbos

Thursday Night to Sunday
Thursday go to tailor
Sat night go check on fit make adjustments
Sunday Afternoon pick up

and thats still tight.
but do-able.

Should we guess where you've already been to?

Was already in SYD and MEL
Would Singapore make sense ?
I am getting the feeling that HKG alone is too much for a week.

Yes, a week is too long, even if you go to Macau for a night.

Lots of places make sense.  Do you want me to name cities?
CNX, DPS, HKT, NRT, PEK, PVG, ROR, SIN, TPE, USM, does that help?

Depends on what you like to do...

But of course if it's not you're first time at that tailor, they'll often mail the items to you.

Well said

it is Cheaper in the USA

if you do it there you need to Rush cost much more!!!

first time visitors might be able to apply for a 10 year Visa

A 10 year L, F or M Visa is $140 plus the cost of 2 passport photos.  As for the 10 year Visa there's no "might"  about it.  Any US citizen that qualifies for a 30 day single entry will be granted a 10 year multi entry if requested.

10 year L, F, M visas can be transferred to a new passport if your current passport expires during the 10 year period.

If you take a tour to the Pearl River Delta (Shenzhen,  Dongguan, Guangzhou, Zhuhai)  from HK you can go 6 days sans visa as a US Citizen.  If you take a tour to Hainan its 15 days sans visa.

You can also stay 3 days Visa free on stopovers in Beijing,  Shanghai,  Chengdu and Guangzhou.  I would imagine SZX will be added soon as SZX is  really starting to pile up the International flights.

That's Awesome!
used to be very hard to get a 10 year.
and if i recall correctly first time visitors were not able to apply for it.

What's the difference first or fiftieth?  They'll always mail them to you.

And that doesn't change that getting fitted and picking fabrics Thursday night is going to be tight to pick up Sunday afternoon

IIRC,  10 years weren't offered to US citizens until ~Nov 14.  I am the only American I've ever met that was able to get 2 year business visas (prior to the 10 becoming available).  I had to argue with the SF Consulate for my first one.  2nd was easy since I'd already broken their barrier. The same day pickup exasperated my problems but wasn't worth driving back to the city a 2nd time.  LA consulate won't even do same day pickups... jerks
