Need advice experts:

Landing in Hong Kong at 6:50 PM on Wednesday and flying out on Saturday at 2 PM. Not planning to get suits stitched. Hoping to do Macau also in this time frame. Is this a enough time to cover main things?

If yes, would you recommend going to Macau on Wednesday right after we land or later? Any advice you can give is appreciated.

Thanks.

If you have been to Vegas then no need to go to Macau.

We saw a great show in Macau some 7 years ago at a fraction of Vegas prices.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks for the replies. Haven't been to Vegas yet, so Macau seems like a good place to get a taste of Vegas.

Suggestions on things to do in Macau please. Will have my nephew (16 yrs) with me.

And would you recommend going to Macau on Wednesday right after we land or later?

Need advice for upcoming trip:

1. Landing Hong Kong at 7 AM Monday with 5-hour layover before connecting flight to Bangkok. Is there something we can do in this time or should just stay in airport?

2. Hotel recommendation for Macau and Hong Kong? Closer to main activity centers is better, prefer nicer hotels :)

Thanks.

you could go straight to Macau and return Thurs night to HK  but then you only have Friday and sat morning for HK

really depends on how much you want to see Macau
if you do your losing half your HK time

Thanks for the reply. Changed flight earlier today, now leaving from Hong Kong on Saturday at 6 PM. So, that gives extra 4 hours.

How early do we need to reach airport to catch our return flight to US?

What are the main attractions in Macau? I was thinking like if we go directly to Macau from airport, stay overnight, do some main activities (or shows) that night, and leave for HK on Thursday around 2-4 PM, it will give us Thursday morning also for doing some activities in Macau. It will Gove us almost 2-days in HK. Is that decent time for HK? Or, should we just skip Macau and focus on HK?

Thanks for your help, everyone.

Arrive at 4pm
Airport is big, Customs, and if your flying to USA Security line
& leave some time for the lounge or shopping.

I usually drink some very nice free scotch tastings's in HK Duty Free
for example last trip I had Glenfiddich 25, 21 & 18

Thanks, will look into it.

Any suggestions on things to do, shows to watch, etc in Macau (for now). Just a reminder that my sister & nephew will be there with me, so no adult shows  :D. What casino would you recommend for sister & I to go for sometime?

I still haven't reached Hong Kong part yet  ;), will be posting questions about that soon  ;D

Thanks for the link Dan. One thing with hat show's schedule is that we can't go directly to Macau from airport as we reach HK on 28th March, and there is no show that day. Next day, shows are at 5 & 8 pm, so if we were to go from airport, we will be spending all next day there too. Or, may be we should go to Macau on 30th around nouns, and watch show that day. But, it leaves us with only 1.5 days in HK...oh decisions

Intrigued by Hong Kong, mainly due to the airfare deal you posted on Friday (still finding those prices). Few questions- can I upgrade the flights using miles? I have chase and united points. Second- is Hong Kong worth it? Or should I use that as a springboard for a greater trip to Asia?

HKG is nice in its own right, though not for vary long. How long depends on what you want to do (or have done in the case of custom clothing). It also depends on how long you're going away for total.

I want to go to Hong Kong for about 5 days in August including one Shabbos. I have a 7 month old baby who will be about 10 months old then. I really, really don't want to rely on using a Goy to get from the hotel to the Shul/meals.

Does anyone know of a hotel that is connected to one of the shuls/restaurants?
It seems like the Chabad in Kowloon is in the same center as a couple of hotels. Do they have access to the Chabad? is there a fence around the place?

Thanks!
