What about for a 36 hour layover? What do you guys recommend?
It often takes more than 3 days to make a suit. It's possible to do it in two days, but still unlikely. I would allow at least five days to get it done properly, depending on how busy they are. You're going to need to go in for at least one fitting before the suit is actually fully made,  so you need to plan for that. If they're not that busy you could be less. If you want to do other things in Hong Kong besides getting a suit made, checkout Victoria Peak, Lantau Island, or the many hikes that exist north of the city.

Ok great, thanks! Not looking for a suit in HK, just looking for activities.

Ok, perfect. I'll see if you have a Chinese visa in a little bit more time, and you were very interested in cheap electronics. For knock-off of brand name items, you might want to check out taking the train to Shenzhen. You will need a regular Chinese visa to visit though.

That's fine, but I think you might be bored after 3 days in Hong Kong. There's not too much to do there that is unique to Hong Kong if you keep kosher. There are a lot of really pretty things outside of the city, but I don't know how unique they are to Hong Kong itself. Sometimes people consider going to Macau, but I personally do not find it worth the time since I don't gamble.

I know. My point was that 36 hours may be too much time depending on how you travel.

Unless you have another long layover on the return.
I know at least Sam will ship to America.
And the job is even easier if you come with a suit that fits and they copy the measurements

Plenty to see and do in Macao aside from gambling

I didn't find enough to do to make it worth my trip. What are the top 3 things you're thinking of? The historic Portuguese church ruins? Bungee jumping off a building? Those aren't too interesting to me.

Not to far from the border crossing
