But why JFK? Is the market from there that strong to handle more supply?
And why n/t from the west coast?

TLV is a strong and growing market from JFK. I hope AA does introduce flights from New York. You will have a 4th carrier offering direct flights which increases the competition and should lower prices. Besides they have a business and first class that definetly beats El Al, Delta, and rivals United.

Very nice rumor which would be fantastic news. What nobody has even attempted to explain is what is changing now from the past 12 years regarding the Israeli court ruling.

"Assuming they do work things out and continue to fly to Tel Aviv I’d have to imagine that there’s a strong chance they the service switches to AA’s Miami hub instead of Philadelphia."

JFK in addition would be a pleasant surprise.  Expect the El Al partnership to go bye-bye though in that case.

That would be terrible for those of us that fly LY to the Far East.

DL business is nicer than UA, so you got something wrong there.

I don't care for leather lie-flats personally.
It also depends if you're flying solo or as a couple.

I can't stand leather business as well and like Dan said if you are flying with your wife or significant other you are closed off from each other. To me Delta's business class has room for improvement.

Same goes for CX, although at least the divider between the two center seats is only half-height.
