Wi-Fi Issues
« on: March 17, 2013, 04:20:13 PM »
I have a desktop and a laptop.
My desktop is not connecting to the wireless network connection while my laptop is connecting with no problems as usual.
This is my usual internet connection and this issue started last night out of the blue.

Any help would be appreciated.

P.S. I already reset the router last night and it helped but now it isn't helping anymore..

Is the issue being able to connect to the router, or just accessing internet?

how do you connect your desktop to the wireless router?
With a wireless USB adapter.
Note: I am able to connect to other wireless networks (I tested my neighbors), but not my usual one.

BINGO!
Thank you so much!
I guess saving the installation CD isn't always useless :)

P.S. Posting from my desktop on my regular wireless connection ;D

I have a usb wifi adapter, sometimes it stops working and if I pull out the usb and reinsert it, everything works great. This happens very often. What could it be?

im having trouble connecting to a certain wifi. it is technically public but it has a password. im able to connect with my laptop but with 2 different phones I tried it wont connect. sometimes it will say wrong password (which it isnt) other times it will just keep rapidly changing (2-3 times per second) between connected and not connected

Delete all saved info about the network, then try it again.
It could also be a DHCP issue on the router-side.

when you select it from the choices there should be an option to "forget"
