How long do you need in Ireland to drive around and see all the main sites?

Thanks! So a drop more than Thanksgiving would provide. What if you leave out Belfast, does that help?

Hate to break it to you, but I'm not a fan of scotch and Irish whiskey.  Just doesn't do it for my taste buds.  I love bourbon, but scotch and Irish not so much.  On the other hand, a visit to the Guinness factory might be in order. My 14-year-old daughter suggested that for our itinerary. I'm not sure if I should be proud or concerned. :-\

At the end of Jameson tour, they offer you Jameson mixed with ginger ale, if that helps you with the taste. :P

Nice. We are actually headed back to DUB right now. Kids are totally wiped. Going to the T2 DAA Priority Pass lounge, in case anyone wants to meet up! Flight leaves for MAD in 3h, so we will enjoy our EtOH at the airport!

The way I look at it the more you restrict them the more they feel its a forbidden fruit tell them they can have responsibly and see if they want....

@davidmal, we have done exactly what you have said and seem to be doing okay. My son, age 18, really enjoys drinking. So far, it has been 100% responsibly.  He loves to have a mint julep or sangria with me on the patio on Shabbat, and he very much appreciates a cold beer when we're watching a game on TV.  He got sick first seder this year, having not eaten much during the day leading up, and he learned a lesson.

For the record, there are pretty compelling data from the alcohol and addiction medical literature that would argue that the longer you can defer exposing the brain to alcohol, the more developed the brain becomes and the better able to deal with potential addiction. My wife and I have kind of done the opposite, but so far, so good.

And to your point, 14yo daughter likes the idea of drinking, but she really only has a few sips and then loses interest, supporting your contention about the fruit that is not being forbidden is less interesting.

Nice, but we didn't get there.  We enjoyed them in the DAA Lounge, though. :)
