Interesting. How long was the hold?
I believe every airline can hold if they want to.

If I book a flight on UA for someone else do I risk getting shut down?

Does the United close-in fee workaround work the same way for standard award too or just saver award?

I don't see why it should be different if you know what it is and understand the concept, it should not be different.

When I check NRT-HNL, it's 25k OW in Y, but when I add in a flight to OGG on HA metal, it adds on another 6k or so.
Anyone know why this is?

Since the deval, intra island flights now add 6k per flight.

Always been the case, just it added 5K pre-deval.

So do most airlines do that? For example, an AA award from Asia to OGG, would it add on more miles?

If I book a mixed cabin flight and it opens J availability on the Coach leg, can I change this leg into J since I paid full on the ticket?

TG J would be flat bad?

And it should be 80k, correct? Why do they want 130k? I believe UA allows routing via Asia and Europe..
