You can usually get that fee waived by explaining how you couldn't book it online. What airline do you see for TLV-VCE-EWR?

TLV-VCE: Turkish or Austrian with a stop
VCE-EWR: Lufthansa with a stop

I had a ticket booked with ua pre devaluation! And didn't end up using it.
Do I need to call and cancel the ticket now? How much will it cost?

You can also just postpone it at the old rate.

I could postpone the ticket? It's almost a year since when I booked it.

For $100
I can cancel and receive back my miles? Or that's 200$

Thanks

the ticket was cancelled over the phone a while ago and the record locater is still there because I was planning to fly the same itinerary for 50k ua miles.
Now there is no ticket just a record locater.
I think that I can't hold on to this for more than a year since making the original ticket

Yup, but as always YMMV.

smart, can you now select dates that are after a year of original issue? Probably yes...

Did you ever hear of anyone having success with that?

yes I managed to get a booking for July 2015.
I wonder if I book it and then want to change it again, if that would be possible?
Otherwise I will probably go for the cancellation online for 200$
