How is it a win win if your staying with the 'exact' same $75 in fees after being busy with a "whole trick"???!!

Just walk into a Chase branch and get the Club card. You can also try to SM to get the first year waived. Your actual Club membership will remain active for about 16 months regardless of closing the card. I'm just wondering if waiving the AF is churnable.

Why do you have to walk in to a branch?

After canceling a united award ticket, does it usually go back to inventory?

No.

The rep was wrong. It's YMMV. For example if some low revenue fares have sold out the INVENTORY will not go back.
