Is a 1-hr layover in IST enough time with 2 adults/2 kids (TLV-IST-FRA)?  I assume bags will go all the way through to final destination, so it's just about getting from one gate to the next?
Yes just enough may be tough with two kids but should be good, and if one reservation then your safe. worst case they book you on next flight.

It's a bit tight. I once missed one of those. Landed half an hour late and cudnt make it even running through the airport. But I got on the next flight 2 hours later

Tell the FA that you have a short connection and you need to be in the front by landing.
They do another security screening by the gate and they look through carryons so don't bring 4 carry ons as that will add time. Btw If you have tripit pro they should email you which gate it is.

Thanks!  Can't miss the first flight, since I only have a 1 hr layover in FRA until I head to ORD!

The only good reason to use SQ would be in J so then yes, you get 2 free checked bags in J.

-1

SQ = 35K in Y v. UA 45K in Y

Wrong.

And the United cc won't *officially* get you a free bag when booking through SQ.

Ur is way way harder to accumulate (imo) and Mr is relatively easy.
Tnx!

Up until last month I would say that's wrong.

Now with the supposed chase crackdown, who knows.

UR much easier to manufacture in copious amounts via spend.
I remember when a coke was a nickel, and you could buy VRs in OD.

Plan B can be implemented anytime, but has to be requested within the airport 24 hours or less before the flight.

You cannot have a stopover on domestic roundtrip.

I'm not sure the first part is right (Plan B can be requested outside of 24 hours after booking without incurring change fee?), but the second part is definitely not correct in the context of his question.

As far as changing the date of the proposed NYC-LAX flight, see here:

on a ticket to hnl you can have a free stopover.
it just worked for me. 90k rt for 2 passengers
the last leg I made for april 19 because april 21st didn't have super saver award available.
will they let me change that to the 21st? will it inquire a fee?

Yes. IME United is very strict about the 75$ change fee.

Hope that there is a schedule change. If there is, you may be able to change for free.

There's an award level lower than "saver"?
