AC?
Air Canada.
I'd suggest going early and ask the agent nicely (don't demand) explain that you forgot to use your UA CC... They'll probably waive it

I never heard of getting it refunded after paying.
Had it with JetBlue before my CC was linked to the account. But that's JetBlue.

Have a long haul domestic flight with United not booked through mileage.  Any ideas/possibility to upgrade at the gate or operator?

Question: when flying X or XN or any other mileage fare class, does it still qualify towards lifetime miles flown?

No.
So I'll safely assume that AA won't either count it towards million miler status...
Or any other programs for that matter

Yes Award flight.
Basically I have a ticket from TLV-NYC that needs to be changed  to a later date, and I need another ticket from NYC-TLV, so wanna make sure that I'll be able to grab that ticket (NYC-TLV) right away, through the Change,

I gain the late fee (since it's hard date it might go up and down the price, won't have time to HUCA for the trick), and don't have to transfer points to United account before I know for sure that there's availability.

In Short, i wanna change my current reservation TLV-NYC to NYC-TLV, just wanna know if it'll work?
Since there's no availability at the moment i can't try.
Trying to avoid cancellation and late fee.

you cannot avoid fees unless you have status. UA does not allow free changes

Not trying to avoid change fee, trying to avoid cancellation on existing route, and avoid late fee on new route.

What in the world is a late fee? If you want to avoid cancellation fee then dont cancel
