I've done it to MIA, no need to go out of security.
Although the turn around time is tight.
If you take the next return flight it’s usually the same airplane that you arrived in that will take you back so no issues with missing it.

Does a reward ticket count towards the minimum 4 segment requirement?

Quality of Airline which is better. I have flight EWR - Vienna - TLV on Austrian Air business class. I could change it to Lufthansa, is it worthwhile?

Vienna is a very small Airport pretty convenient for a stopover, nice lounge also

FRA/MUC are much bigger
Personally would stick with OS.

I flew Lufthansa B, I can attest @ 6' my  feet had almot no room to move when fully flat. From pics of Austrian B it looks like they are a bit more roomy.

-1 If anything, OS is tighter.

Apologies in advance for a simple question - does UA permit stopovers on award flights (without added cost)? Want to fly ORD-TLV on Swiss with United points, but ZRH layover is 12 hours so I prefer to extend to 36 hours and have a day in Switzerland. Is this possible? Couldn't price it out correctly online and agent was useless.

Thanks in advance

With excursionist perk.
Use AC for ease, no YQ too.

AC would only work if booking a return.

You would like to do it specifically with points?

Some agents are not trained to help with points. Find an agent who is.

Just spoke with an agent who said flat out that stopovers are not permitted on award tickets and I would have to book as multi-city trip. She acknowledged that its a silly policy given the excursionist perk...

Any work around for this?

What credit card should I use for free cancellations of United flights for flights with miles (just for taxes)? What are my options?

Hello all - question for you UA award booking experts. Is it not possible to redeem UA miles for HA awards to/from Lanai (LNY)? I see that other inter-island flights on HA such as HNL-OGG are readily available on united.com for 7k miles. I have some orphaned miles in my UA account that I'd love to burn on this route if possible. Appreciate any insight. Thanks!
