Looks like GS forced T and PZ class awarda don't have the close-in surcharge if XN/IN aren't available.
Such a shame they started limiting these to GS+1 :(

What's my best option to book ewr-lax in J. Need three seats. Flexable dates. End of Jan weekend or beginning of Feb.

I do not have any United status.  What's the chance that I will be able to upgrade a revenue Y ticket to J for LAX-BOS on a mid-week red-eye?  I'm presuming it's near zero.  :'(
