Dan had luck with this by crying how disapointed he is.
Ask him for more details.

Bump

It's not personal, some things are better left unsaid when on the world wide interwebs.

If it's Turkish between JFK & IST, its better than United anyway.
Why is that ?

Book what's available and check everyday to see if something opens up. You can change flights for free before its within 21 days.
FYI all, I just made changes from UA to AC back and forth a few times in the past week for travel in August from EWR to YVR switching airlines and cabins from business to economy etc.. no fees at all! (some done online others done on phone with United- no specific #)

***Great story- I am travelling with my wife and 4 yr old- 3 passengers- and I wanted to switch to a flight that only had 2 award seats. I did the 2BM and it only allowed my res. through for 2 seats and not my wife who was on a separate res. I had gotten both browsers to the last page where there's a button that says confirm change etc.. Yet when I hit it for my wife it said error (obivious as only 2 seats had been open). I called United right away, who kept me on phone for 20 minutes while they did a detailed review with the support desk as to whether the seat was "open" for my wife when I started the process online. They confirmed that it was and manually put her in the flight even though award saver was not available!!!***

I've had the experience once with UA where they called LH to open a seat for me. In that scenario I got a UA rep to book me as waitlisted and then called back and got UA to actually book it.

This was great for tickets booked until June 19th. New tickets are now $75 change fees for non-elites!

I am looking to book an award ticket from DTW to LGA on Aug 25 and returning Aug 26. I have UR, MR and Delta points. I want to leave early in the morning and return in the evening on the 26th. What are the best points to use. The only real availability I see are Delta for 32,500 points. Is there a better option to transfer the UR or MR points?

Left side is my wife's United account, and right side is my account.
Is there any reason Saver Award is not available in my account for 11:29 AM?
