Depending on how far out the flight is, I've had success with seats opening up, so keep checking back.

And if that fails:

Im not sure i want seats to open up.... wont they automatically give me extra legroom?? I have a confirmed booking but no seats.

It's happened to me, but as always YMMV.

Is there a date when the 57,500 promotion on partner airlines to EU will end?

They’ve also published an end date. You have to ticket your award by 02/28/15

Thanks found it
When United did the devaluation last year, you were able to book before it happened, and then cancel and have United hold your reservation, and then after the devaluation you were able to book for less amount not the greater, can it be done with this?

I booked an award flight and paid fees with ink card instead of my united card. Can i get a free bag by showing the card? Any other options?

If card is linked to your account you should be getting a free bag, doesn't matter how you paid.

Officially you need to use the card to book the reservation to get the free bag. Even just the $5.60 taxes.

Reports of people being charged otherwise. Obviously YMMV.

I'm contemplating booking a flight that departs next morning, and wanted to know if the following would work (I have UR that I need to transfer in, and don't want to pay the closing fee).

a) ask them to hold the tickets that I actually want, on the basis that the UR transfer takes a bit.
b) transfer UR to UA
c) when the transfer completes, book a different flight >21 days out
d) ask them to cancel my hold, and then switch my reservation myself online.

Would that work? (if TMI here, let me know and I'll delete it).

UR>UA transfers are instant.
The hold will not necessarily go back into inventory.
Just transfer and do the rest online....
